I forget where I saw this yesterday, but it was so cute I saved it to my desktop to show the girls this morning. Our dog was this little when we got him; I loved when he was that size! So cute!

We all slept through the night last night! I was very excited. I did wake up once at 4am coughing a little, but I was able to go back to sleep quickly. We enjoyed our Cinnamon Swirl Bread this morning for breakfast - toasted with a little butter on it. Mmmmm!
Arthur's off taking the van for its emissions test. Apparently after just 3 years the van is already in need of passing an emissions test before we can renew our registration. Must be an Illinois thing? I thought, when I was younger and in Indiana, that cars had to be much older than 3 years to require an emissions test. And it's quite humorous how the state is VERY quick to let you know when you've tried to renew your registration without completing the test and they don't like it. BUT, try and get them to do something that they've forgotten to do....ya right! They take their sweet time; I guess they just can because they are the STATE. Ha! It's the same with Teamsters, for my husband. They are supposed to be timely in sending out their dues reminders, so we have the payment slip to send in with our check. It's due soon and we still haven't received it. Arthur calls to let them know we haven't received the notice, and they say "Oh, we've had other directors calling with the same problem." That's it. This happened at the beginning of last year, too....but rather than resend the notice, knowing that A LOT of directors didn't get the notice and this isn't the first year it's happened, they just sent out the past due notice last year. I assume they'll do the same in a few days. UGH! REALLY?! They don't follow through on their own guidelines, but we get the past due notice? That doesn't make sense. But, they can do that because they are the Teamsters.
It appears I have disdain for authority. Not all authority; just those that say they follow some super high standard, when they actually don't....ahem, Illinois Government. Don't even get me started...
So, we're going to have a lazy/family day today. Everyone's fevers are gone. As long as Lily's is still gone after nap, we should be good to go to the small group dinner tonight!
